How I Play

So, as of first making this site, I haven't been gaming very long, at least as a serious hobby. I of course grew up playing plenty of games, but coming from a lower income home I never really had access to all the newest and hottest games and consoles. The little knowledge and experience I did get about gaming pop culture came from when I would go over a friend or cousin's house who actually did have all that stuff. I'm not gonna break down my entire life of gaming, just know that I only really began getting into gaming seriously during the pandemic, when my aunt decided to give me their family's old Wii U and I promptly bought Breath of the Wild to play on it. Since then it has been a relatively slow process of acquiring the consoles and games I want and taking the hobby more seriously. I've reached a point where I generally know my tastes, but I still experiment from time to time. I mostly prefer RPGs, especially JRPGs, and I'll play almost any subgenre in there. Currently I'm getting into Metroidvanias with the Castlevania games, but I'm lowkey taking forever cause of how much I've heard they tend to be pretty hard (at the same time, I can't resist a challenge). Also, getting into emulation has helped me out a lot when it comes to playing games still hard to get my hands on or just out of budget. Anyways enough yapping, here's some of my favorite games/franchises as of right now.

Favorites: Final Fantasy [9, 10 and 14 so far], Legend of Zelda [Twilight Princess, Breath of the Wild], Portal 2, Tomb Raider, Castlevania (kinda cheating since I'm still new but idc, I love it already), Rayman's Legends
